From The other Jesus - 2014 

A man told me this story. And an angel. And a man on a horse. His horse told me some of it too. It made me cry when I heard it and it might make you cry too. I think I was sad because I was thinking of a friend who had just died and of how I hadn’t seen them before they did and I was sad because I was thinking of my dad who died a long time ago. I could have been thinking of someone I used to love too and sort of still did, or of a lady I watched turning blue a few days before and of what happened to her after that.

Anyway, I was tired and sulking and I sat down on a step and a horse told me that Jesus used to sit on that step too. I looked up at the horse and the man on top of him who weren’t far away and told them to leave me alone but a fat man pointing to the sky told me to hold on, young fella. He said he had been standing there for over a hundred years and that he had seen a lot of things and that it’d be better for me if I listened. So I told him Jesus lived on the other side of the world where it is hot as hell and people wear robes and there are a lot of buildings more than a hundred years old and he laughed and asked me if he could get a word in edgeways. I said he could and he did.
